When searching for a location for my optometry practice, I did not want to set up in a shopping centre; the commercially driven centres did not suit my vision of a health-care practice. Also, I wanted to deal with a family business that would continue to manage the property into the future, rather than a faceless interstate corporation. |

Establishing my practice, North Lakes Optometry, in the Mienert Property Group’s North Lakes Medical Centre was relatively smooth. Mienert Property Group liaised with my chosen shopfitters and made it much less stressful than I had imagined. From original lease negotiations early in 2006 through opening in November 2006 to the present day, it has been a pleasure to deal with Paul and Jennifer Mienert. My patients appreciate the convenience of the location, with its dedicated carpark, just far enough away from the chaos of the local shopping centre, and I have the Medical Centre based Optometry practice I’ve always wanted.
